My Private Jet

I am loving OPI's My Private Jet right now. It is a very fitting color for autumn. It's in between brown and black with holographic silver micro-glitter. And what's better than driving on a beautiful fall day with a Starbucks pumpkin chai latte in hand?

Fall Purple

I am absolutely loving this nail polish right now. I think it is very fitting for the almost fall season. This nail polish is by NYC and is called Lexington Lilac. I know lilacs are spring flowers, but this shade of lilac is darker and definitely appropriate for fall. It's a deeper and more muted lilac.

Jawbreaker

I just want to say that I cannot stop looking at my nails. I found this nail polish at Five Below and it's by the brand Funky Fingers. The name fits this polish perfectly: Jawbreaker. Doesn't it bring back memories of eating those huge jawbreakers you can find at amusement parks? It does for me. I used two coats in these pics. This polish is a multi-color glitter in a white base. It almost looks like a jelly sandwich, but much easier, there's no layering involved! Definitely a happy find. :)

I also think that this nail polish would be perfect for a birthday party!

Gel Nails!

My brother got married a few weeks ago and I got my nails done for the wedding. I wish I could take credit for doing a French manicure this well, but that isn't so. I got gel nails and I LOVE how shiny and smooth they feel. Not to mention how long they last! They are a bit of a challenge to get off, but otherwise worth every penny.

Happy Birthday America!!

Happy 4th of July! Seriously, this holiday is one of my favorites. I love everything about it. I love patriotism, red, white, and blue, picnics, fireworks, parades, summer, America... I could go on. Of course I had to paint my nails in celebration of my country's birthday, so here they are. I was inspired, once again by MissJenFABULOUS (check her out on YouTube). I painted them white to start, and then used blue painter's tape and used a star shaped hole puncher to create the stars. I placed the hole punched tape on my nails and painted over it with red and blue polish. Last I added some dots and valla!

I have this tradition that I make cupcakes every Independence Day and this year was no different. They are not as elaborate as previous year, but still turned out pretty cute.

Hope you are all having or had a beautiful 4th of July! God bless the U.S.A!!

Easy Flower Nails

Today I tried to be a little more adventurous and try something other than polka dots... although I LOVE polka dots! I made little flowers on my nails, which were inspired by a YouTube video from MissJenFABULOUS. She has awesome nail tutorials and I totally recommend her. I found making these flowers to be super easy and quite adorable. :)

S'MORE Fun!

The few last weeks of the school year have finally arrived. I put together this cute s'more bulletin board with the help of my adorable little preschoolers, who are almost kindergartners! What's a better way to get excited for summer than with camp fires and s'mores?

Red, White, and Blue!

Happy Memorial Day! What a special day. A day when we take the time to remember all those who have served and are serving this country. A day when we wave our county's flag and wear our colors proudly.

This was a fun, yet timely nail design. I started with two coats of Essie's Marshmallow, which is a very thin polish, perfect for a jelly sandwich! I then used actual red and blue glitter and shook a little on my nails while they were still wet. I covered the glitter with one more layer of Marshmallow (it gives a kind of milky look) and then finished with a top coat. Whew! Lots of work, but cute results!

I hope you have a fabulous Memorial Day! Hopefully it's a bit warmer where ever you are. :)

Passion Tea Lemonade

I love Starbucks and have many favorite drinks from there. Recreating those drinks at home is something that I find great pleasure in. Today I experimented and was quite delighted to find that I created an excellent recipe for their passion tea lemonade. It's quite simple really.

All you will need is some lemonade (mine was store bought), some Tazo passion tea, and maybe/maybe not a little sugar. I heated up one cup of water and then added two passion tea bags. I let them sit for about 7 minutes. I was too eager to wait for my tea to cool and just added lots of ice, but if you have patience, then let it cool. Next, I mixed almost equal parts lemonade to my tea (a little more tea). I also added a teaspoon of sugar to it, but it's all personal preference. Stir it well, add ice, and you have your very own Starbuck's passion tea. Enjoy!

Rainbow Sprinkles

We are well into our spring season, which means many things. One of those things happens to be evening trips to get some ice cream. At least for me it does. Ever since I was a little girl I loved rainbow sprinkles. I got inspired by the bright colors of the sprinkles on my ice cream and decided to try and recreate it on my nails. Hey, why not? I found a few other photos for inspiration and this is what it resulted in.

Endless Blue

I've been wanting a cobalt blue nail polish for a couple weeks now. I fell in love with Essie's: Butler Please and was planning on purchasing it, but then I found Sinful Color's: Endless Blue. Endless Blue happens to be an excellent dupe of Butler Please and was way cheaper. So Endless Blue it was! I don't know about you, but I absolutely love cobalt blue and yellow together. I decided to pose with some lovely daffodils. :)

Disney World!

I just spent the week at Walt Disney World. What an amazing place it is! Every time I go I feel like a child again and am in awe of all that's going on around me. I got to visit all four parks and love each one of them in a different way. Of course, no park compares to Magic Kingdom, in my opinion. Not only is Magic Kingdom home of Cinderella's castle, it is also the only home to Dole Whip Floats. If you've never had one, you need to! They are so yummy!

Easter Nails

Easter is almost here, so I decided to get a little festive with my nails. What else is new? I chose pastel colors and my favorite... polka dots! I love doing dots because they are super easy and turn out very cute.

I also had to include this picture of these delicious looking cookies I made last year. I can't wait to make them again in a few days! Hope you are having a lovely day!

March Nails

I'm so excited that it's March! March means the beginning of Spring, which hopefully means the weather starts to warm up. So now that it is March, what better color to wear on your nails than green? It's almost St. Patrick's Day and I found that Color Club's Edie was very fitting. I also used Funky Finger's Star-Studded, a gold holographic glitter, on my ring finger.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! One of my favorite things about Valentine's day is the color, or rather, the colors. Pink and red! I absolutely love the pink, red, and white combo that I did on my nails. The pink is Essie's "Off the Shoulder," the red is Confetti's "The Red Carpet," and the white is Confetti's "Wedding White." I hope you all are having a lovely Valentine's day!

Happy February!

So what's a better nail polish color to wear in February than pink? Or purple? How about a pinky-purple? Ok, I'll stop now. =P Today I'm wearing Essie's Splash of Grenadine. It is a beautiful color right in between pink and purple and perfect for the lovely month of February. This is easily my new favorite.

My First Blog!

Hello all! I'm very excited to start blogging. This is something that I have wanted to do for quite a while now, and I'm finally starting. I decided to start off with a nail post. I am wearing Color Club's: What a Drag. It's a silver film polish and I love it! I applied two coats here and love it's foil like finish.

Have a great day!

This last pic was taken a week later (hence the chips). I just think that this is a better picture.
